ALL WATERPROOFS

Stierna never compromises on material or construction when it comes to our rainwear for equestrian activities - it's all about creating the best possible product. Technical expertise combined with innovative design results in optimal rainwear for the active rider. When you see a piece with an EquTex™ logo, you can be sure that a lot of effort has been put into selecting and combining the right fabrics with the right membrane to create a garment that will allow you and your horse to perform at your best, no matter the weather. EquTex™ is never just a fabric or a membrane, it's always the best combination of both.

Horse riding waterproofs for Equestrian Adventures with EQUTEX™

Our EquTex™ fabrics utilize membrane technology and are used in our top-performing garments, allowing the outer fabric to be waterproof yet still offer fantastic breathability and ventilation. Our EquTex™ rainwear not only protects you from the weather and wind, but also helps maintain a consistent body temperature and keep you dry for maximum comfort. Breathable garments allow excess heat and moisture to escape instead of being trapped against the body.
An ultra-thin film is laminated (glued under pressure) to the inside of the outer fabric along with a protective lining. The film allows water molecules in the form of vapor from the body to escape, while still protecting the wearer from getting wet from rain or snow. The difference in temperature between the inside and outside of the garment drives the vapor through the fabric, which is referred to as "breathability.

Stay protected and comfortable with our Horse riding waterproofs

EquTex™ garments are both waterproof and breathable, providing protection from the elements while keeping the body cool and dry by transporting excess heat and moisture away. The unique combination of selected membranes and outer fabrics creates combinations for specific needs. All seams on EquTex™ garments are sealed with tape. EquTex™ garments can withstand a minimum water pressure of 20,000 mm and have a breathability rating of at least 20,000 g/m2/24h. The waterproofness is measured in terms of water column pressure, with higher numbers indicating a greater capacity to withstand pressure. Breathability is measured in terms of the amount of water vapor a square meter of fabric can release in 24 hours, with higher numbers indicating a greater ability to release moisture.
